Street Urchins: Fact File

Name: Street Urchins

Age: Mainly between 8 and 25, some are younger, as some are taken from birth, but the active ones are between 8 and 25, they rarely live older than 25 because being on the streets and the way they eat etc isn't too good for their bodies.

Cause: They are caused by human blood mixing with foreign blood, such as vampires or demons. It isn't an immediate effect, it took five generations until the first Urchin was created.

Physical On a whole Urchins look realtively human, some of them have painfully obvious monster traits, which you will discover later in the story with a character called Khaza, however others have ridiculously minor things like pointed ears, which you can barely see, odd coloured eyes, odd tongues, snake like or other, hell they can even have things such as ridiculously flexible and stretchy skin!

Personalities: Urchins lack a lot of emotions.
Happiness - they can feel 'happy' after a kill, just not joyful and gay.
Sadness - so far there are NO recorded cases of an Urchin feeling sad or remorseful, they've been known to kill babies, puppies and kittens with grins on their faces.
Love: They can't love - they're solitary 'creatures' who seldom interact, some do on a regular basis, but on a whole they live on their own, only really joining to fight and kill, that and the lack of mating instincts lead them to lack love.
Lust - More or less the same with love, they also don't need sex, and it's unknown whether they can have sex, all is known is that they can't reproduce. They can lust for blood, but that's it.

However, there are some which they can feel:
Anger - they live on it, and it usually overcomes fear.
Fear - very rarely.
Embarrasment - mainly if they messed up in a fight or a kill.

Typers: There are many different blood lines which ended up creating the Urchins.

Of course there's human, but also: Demon, Vampire, Werewolf, Cyclops, Angel, Elf, Zombie and Troll, so the Urchins possess traits of these, maybe even two or three depending on how many different blood types they possess.

Other: They were more or less forced to become nocturnal creatures, but they prefer it, some of them find it difficult to work in the day, due to the ancient instincts of their supernatural ancestors, plus it means they have the whole city to themselves, and if they enjoyed anything, it would be killing, fighting and inducing fear onto the towns people, and night time is the most frightening time.

Also, when they are born they are always born with a twin, the twin being normal, sometimes the twin never knows they have a brother or sister, let alone them being one of the Street Urchins they were brought up to fear and hate, not until they are much older, sometimes not even then. This doesn't mean that every family who has twins has one Street Urchin, but no family only has one child, which ends up being a Street Urchin. The reason they are born with a twin is simply so that they can continue on the blood line.
